Holistic Wellness at Home

During this time of uncertainty, it can be challenging to maintain a healthy routine. It’s important that we take a step back, take a deep breath and create a grounded space in our daily lives.

  1. Set daily intentions. This could be in the morning while you’re drinking your coffee or while you’re meditating. Set your aim for the day to stay on track.

  2. Connect with friends and family. We live in an amazing time of technology, you can video chat friends for happy hour or a coffee date, call your family, or set up a game night on skype.

  3. Make moves. You can try a new exercise video, go on a long walk, or do your own yoga flow in your living room. Studies have shown that exercise increases our overall happiness.

  4. Develop a meditation practice. You can start with 1 minute or 10 minutes, every day you will develop a stronger practice. There are videos online or you can practice a breathing meditation by focusing on your inhales and exhales.

  5. Eat well. This can mean eating a colorful meal, taking your vitamins and drinking plenty of water. We absolutely should eat comfort food when we want it, but make sure you’re nourishing yourself too!

Wellness works best when it’s holistic, take note of where you’re nourishing your mind, your body, and your soul. You can utilize this wellness wheel to check in with yourself daily or weekly. Enjoy!
