Self-compassion is the ability to turn understanding, acceptance, and love inward. Many of us are able to easily extend compassion toward others but find it difficult to extend the same compassion toward ourselves. Some view self-compassion as an act of self-indulgence. The reality is, extending compassion toward oneself is not an act of self-indulgence, selfishness or self-pity, in fact, practicing self-compassion creates a strong mindset and can relieve concerns such as anxiety and insecurity.
Self-compassion is key to our wellness routine. The better we care for ourselves, the better we are able to care for others. Join us for this special self-care night where we will cultivate self-compassion on our mats as a community. Our practice will begin with a 20 min gentle flow led by Mindfulness Coach Molly Black, followed by a lesson on the three pillars of self-compassion. We will complete the evening with a loving-kindness meditation.
After this class, you'll feel inspired, renewed, and full of self-compassion.
